We collect information directly from you when you submit a form or application, place an order, contact us, request a callback, communicate with our virtual receptionist, or interact with our social profiles. We also collect information automatically through Squarespace and related website technologies, and we may receive information from payment processors, Printify and print providers, shipping carriers, application or automation services, communications providers, review platforms, and social-media services as needed to complete a request or transaction.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website, store, forms, and communications systems;
respond to questions and provide customer support;
review puppy or stud-service applications and assess placement or service fit;

send marketing communications when you have opted in or when otherwise permitted by law;
measure website performance and understand how visitors use our services;
detect fraud, spam, security incidents, policy violations, or other misuse;
establish, exercise, or defend legal rights and comply with legal obligations; and
create aggregated or deidentified information that no longer reasonably identifies an individual.
4. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies supplied by Squarespace and, when enabled, other service providers. These technologies may include:
Necessary cookies that support security, navigation, forms, account features, carts, checkout, and core website operation;
Functional and commerce cookies that remember selections and support store or customer-service features;
Analytics and performance cookies that help measure visits, page views, traffic sources, interactions, and site performance; and
Third-party or social technologies that may operate when content is embedded or when you use a social-media or external-service feature.
Squarespace Analytics may use cookies and similar information to estimate visits and unique visitors and to report website and commerce activity. You can manage cookies through any cookie banner or preference tool made available on the website and through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functions. A link to a social profile does not give us control over that platform; when you click or interact, the platform may collect information under its own policy.
5. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose relevant information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Policy:
Website and commerce providers, including Squarespace;

Service providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their function and are expected to handle it under applicable contractual and legal obligations.
6. Automated and AI-Assisted Communications
We may use automated or AI-assisted systems for website chat, call handling, transcription, summarization, question routing, appointment or callback coordination, and drafting responses. These systems may process the information you provide and technical details associated with the interaction. They do not replace a signed agreement or professional veterinary advice. Please avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information. A human may review or take over a communication when appropriate.
7. Marketing and Communication Choices
Marketing email is sent only when you opt in or when otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. Providing a telephone number for an inquiry or application does not by itself enroll you in recurring marketing texts. If text-message marketing is offered, we will request any consent required by law. You may withdraw text consent using the instructions provided with the message. Transactional messages about an application, order, appointment, or requested service may still be sent when necessary.
8. Sale of Personal Information and Targeted Advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. Based on our current practices, we do not use personal information for targeted advertising based on activity across unrelated websites or services. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any notice or opt-out method required by applicable law.
9. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information as needed to perform a contract or take steps at your request; with your consent; to comply with legal obligations; and for legitimate interests such as operating and securing our services, responding to inquiries, preventing fraud, maintaining records, and improving the customer experience, provided those interests are not overridden by applicable rights.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including responding to inquiries, evaluating or documenting placements and services, fulfilling orders, providing support, maintaining tax and business records, enforcing agreements, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and complying with law. Retention periods vary by record type and service provider. We may retain deidentified or aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies you.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the size of our business. No internet transmission, storage system, or security measure is guaranteed to be completely secure. If you believe information you provided has been compromised, please contact us promptly.
12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
confirm whether we process your personal information;
request access to or a portable copy of certain information;
correct inaccurate information;
request deletion of certain information;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
opt out of marketing communications; and
opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or certain profiling if those activities apply.
To make a request, email moe@milkhoneykennels.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect against fraudulent requests. Authorized agents may be required to provide proof of authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
If we deny a request and applicable law provides an appeal right, email the same address with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” and explain your appeal. You may also contact the appropriate state privacy regulator or attorney general where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
13. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13. Puppy and stud-service applications and purchases must be submitted by an adult who is at least 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
14. United States Processing and Cross-Border Transfers

Those locations may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, providers use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
15. Third-Party Links and Social Media
The website may link to social-media profiles, review pages, maps, payment services, or other third-party sites. We do not control their privacy practices. Information you post publicly or send directly to a platform is handled under that platform’s policy. Review the privacy settings and policies of services you choose to use.
TikTok Integration
If you connect a TikTok account to a Milk & Honey service, we may receive information authorized through TikTok, such as your TikTok account identifier, display name, profile image, authorization scopes, access or refresh tokens, and information necessary to publish approved content on the connected TikTok account. We use this information only to authenticate the connection, maintain the authorized integration, and perform actions you have authorized, such as publishing content. TikTok permissions may be revoked through TikTok or by contacting us. We do not sell TikTok account information or use TikTok authorization data for unrelated advertising purposes.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, vendors, or legal obligations. The updated Policy will be posted with a revised effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
